Cost Effective
We build our data centers in strategic geographical locations where there is an abundance of low cost electricity and the climate is moderate and dry. This greatly reduces our operating costs and the need for expensive cooling systems, which accounts for over 50% of a traditional data center's annual cost of operation. We are constantly looking for new ways to reduce costs, including alternative methods for powering and cooling such as self-sustaining wind power and liquid immersion cooling systems.
Lean Architecture
We use lean data center design with open concept, easy to service, high density racking systems that requires no screws with quick-release components, enabling our administrators to easily slide servers into place and remove them quickly without any unbolting. Server racks are also completely modular, to allow an entire rack to be replaced if necessary within minutes. There is no expensive raised flooring or underground wiring either as all cabling is supported by overhead cable trays.
Energy Efficient
Our data centers use 50% less energy than the typical data center and are among the most efficient in the world. We design them to best use the natural environment and conditions, relying on natural air cooling during cold weather and evaporative cooling during hot and humid summer months. Hot aisle and cold aisle corridors help channel air flow efficiently, reducing cooling costs further.
Virtualization
Most of the infrastructure in our data centers are virtualized, and the management of those infrastructure is completely controlled by software, giving our customers easy access and complete control. We abstract highly complex systems like networks into simplified, user-friendly and console-driven services, making our data centers easier to manage and operate.
Tier 2.5
Traditional data centers deliver 99.995% uptime, but that last 0.995% is very costly to provide and unless it is mission critical, most businesses do not require it this level of service. Cloud based technologies also permit businesses to achieve redundancy across multiple data centers. As such, we made a calculated decision to eliminate expensive features such as uninterruptible power supplies, power generators, and redundant feeds. Foregoing these amenities allows us to cut unnecessary costs and deliver the savings to our clients.
